Faith-filled Female Empowerment

Can female empowerment be faith-filled? Yes! The Great Flip, an American Heritage Girls Program Alliance, is giving girls an opportunity to learn about self-defense in an environment that fosters their strength and identity in Christ.

The Great Flip was featured in the American Heritage Girls national publication Heritage Headlines.

Callie, a Pioneer in OR4519, wanted to share her love for martial arts with her troop and earn the Harriet Tubman Level Award, which requires girls to lead a troop event. Working with The Great Flip gave her a way to flex her leadership muscles (and her self-defense skills too)!

The Great Flip is online self-defense, safety and faith-filled empowerment resource designed to give girls a fun, playful and empowering introduction to the martial art called Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Girls can earn the AHG Martial Arts Sports Pin using The Great Flip online videos, lesson plans and resources.
